The True Guru's Week 12 Sleepers
Allot of injuries occurred last week, so I'll do my best to fine some deep sleepers for your week 12 match up.
BYES: NONE
Quarterbacks
Matt Cassel QB, SD - At home and against a tough division opponent, Cassel should perform well. He's been working well with his receivers Long and Chambers. Expect 275 yards and 2 TDs.
Josh Freeman QB, ATL - Freeman will likely be playing from behind from the 1st quarter on as Atlanta pulls out its running game. Freeman should find plenty of holes in the Falcons 29th ranked pass defense.
Runningbacks
Jason Snelling, ATL - Snelling was awesome last week and he will be against this week. He faces Tampa Bay with the 32nd ranked defense in the NFL. That is dead last. Snelling could go nuts and have a huge game.
Fred Jackson RB, BUF - With Lynch possibly out with a bum shoulder, Fred Jackson should shoulder (no pun intended) the load for the Bills running game. He over matches the Miami run defense and could have a big game with his pass catching skills as well. Look for a TD and 150 combined yards.
Mike Bell RB, NO - Bell had a great game last week, and the Saints will need him again if they want to remain undefeated. Expect the Saints to try and control the ball with Bell and Thomas. A TD is not out of the question as Bell continues to vulture them away from Thomas.
Wide Receivers
Dominick Hixon WR, NYG - Hixon has been very quiet as of late, but this week against Denver presents a great match up for him. With Champ Bailey following Steve Smith and Manningham, Hixon should get more attention this week and likely find the end zone.
Lance Long WR, KC - Expect a solid day for long. Cassel will be throwing all day and Long should recieve plenty of targets. He's a deep sleeper this week, but one worth considering.
Tight Ends
Martellus Bennett TE, DAL - With Jason Witten likely not to play with a sprained foot, Bennett becomes an instant threat on offense. At 6'5" he's a big target and safety net for Romo. He's been targeted in the red zone before and should see more against the Raiders on Thanksgiving.
Davis Thomas TE, NO - The Saints will need every player they have to beat the Patriots and with 9 catches and over 110 yards in the past two weeks Thomas could provide that. He caught a TD last week and could do it again.
Defenses
Tennessee - Tennessee has been playing much better and now that are at home against the Cardinals. Warner is likely to play, but even with him in the game, expect the Titans to get a couple of picks, several sacks, and maybe a TD. They are a deep play this week, but should perform well.
Dallas Cowboys - The Cowboys don't produce allot of turnovers or TDs, but this week they have the Oakland Raiders, who do produce allot of turnovers and TDs for the other teams defense.
