The True Guru's Week 8 Sleepers
Week 7 was tough for my calls including a broken leg. Week 8 should be much better. With the Steelers and Patriots on the BYE, lots of managers will be looking for BYE week replacements.
BYES: Patriots , Bengals , Steelers , Chiefs , Redskins , Buccaneers
Quarterbacks
Marc Bulger, STL - I'm not expecting too much from Bulger, but 200 yards and and 2 TDs isn't crazy against Detroit. Start him if you have no other choices.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, BUF - I did pick the Houston defense, but Fitzpatrick should be throwing most of the day and every dog has his day. If the Bills do score it will be through the air. Look for 250 yards, 1, maybe 2 TDs, and 2 picks.
Runningbacks
Felix Jones, DAL - Jones is 100% healthy and looking to dominate like 2008. He completely over matches the Seahawks defense in every way. He could end up with 2 TDs. Don't forget Barber has a bum thumb, and if he has issues, more carries for Jones.
LeSean McCoy, PHI - With Westbrook hurting with a concussion he is a game-time decision. Regardless if he plays, McCoy should see plenty of carries and Giants fifteenth ranked run defense. Also, Philadelphia is at home and the Giants run defense is far worse on the road.
Wide Receivers
Kevin Walter, Hou- Andre Johnson is hurt and even if he plays, he will be limited. Walter has fallen back behnd Daniels, but without allot of Johnson, Walter should flourish.
Kelly Washington, BAL - Flacco will have to throw to beat Denver. Washington has scored much lately but he will this week.
Tight Ends
Donald Lee, GB - With JerMicheal Finely out, Lee will be Rodgers primary TE target. He should see plenty of targets in the big game against Minnesota.
Martellus Bennett - DAL - Dallas is expanding their playbook for Romo and that includes Bennett. last week was his best week of the season, 3 catches for 32 yards. He is a red zone target.
Defenses
Houston Texans - The Texans play the awful Bills in Buffalo. There is no doubt that the Bills will put up some points, but the Texans are likely to blow it out force a one-dimensional game and get some turnovers. I expect a defensive TD from Houston.
Dallas Cowboys- The Cowboys defense was a top-notch defense coming into the season and faded. It looks like they have things together, and they are facing a beat up Seahawks offense. Sacks could be off the charts along with some turnovers. They normally play well at home.
