First week of the playoffs, here we go.
Quarterbacks
Alex Smith, QB SF - He's been great lately and this week he has even more advantages. He's at home, on Monday Night, and has the high-flying Cardinals coming off a big win. This game should be a shootout and the Cardinals defense is ripe for a let-down.
Matt Hasselbeck, QB SEA - Hasslebeck can still throw, no one doubts that. He has talented WRs in Burleson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and Deion Branch. He has good weather and should be in a shootout with the Texans. Start him.
Runningbacks
Chris Brown, RB HOU - My sources in Houston are saying that Brown will start and see the the majority of the carries. The Texans really like what they see in Brown and want his veteran leadership in that role. He should have a nice game and get in the end zone.
Quinton Ganther, RB WAS - Ganther will get the starting nod versus a terrible run defense in the Raiders. He will share some time with Cartwright, but Ganther should have a solid day.
Wide Receivers
Mark Clayton, WR BAL - With all the attention that Detriot can muster going towards Mason and Ray Rice, look for Clayton and Kelly Washington to get plaenty of targets.
Devin Thomas WR, WAS - The rookie WR is developing into the talent we all expected. This week he faces the Raiders. It's a tough matchup, but with coverage going to Moss, Thomas should be open plenty. Start him.
Tight Ends
Dustin Keller TE, NYJ - With Clemons starting, he will look to his big tight end all day. He may not score, but he should see plenty of receptions for a PPR league.
Ben Watson TE, NEP - He is way overdo for a TD and Brady will start hitting all his receivers like he did when they had better success and the Pats were winning. Look for a TD for Watson and about three catches.
Defenses
Cleveland - They are at home, and the weather should be bad with 25+ MPH winds and 50% chance of snow. The Steelers get sacked a ton. All that said, start the Browns.
New England - New England is at home and they are pissed off. They will host Carolina and no matter who plays QB they will get dominated by the Patriots.
